Town Center update: A hotel, retail and more
The signs are up and work is continuing on the AC Hotels by Marriott at St. Johns Town Center. The Daily Record first reported in February 2020 the chain was looking at the shopping center. Now the hotel website says it will open in January. Meanwhile, construction walls are in place for retailers Abercrombie & Fitch, Lululemon and Garage.

Ashco plans second building at Town Center on former Wendy's site
The Jacksonville-based developer is adding the 16,000-square-foot Town Center II now that the first structure is full.

Designer furnishings store headed to Town Center area
Modani Furniture will open in the first quarter of 2023 in Ashco Inc.’s Town Center Outparcel building, the landlord announced.
Ashco buys former Thomasville furniture store
Ashco Inc. bought the former Thomasville furniture store near The Markets at Town Center for conversion into the Town Center Medical Plaza.
Ashcenter at St. Johns LLC paid almost $2.3 million for the 13,200-square-foot store Aug. 19. The 1.27-acre property is at 4853 Big Island Drive.
Modani Furniture opening in Ashco property at Town Center
Landlord Ashco Inc. announced Dec. 16 that Modani Furniture will open in the first quarter of 2023 in its Town Center Outparcel building.
The city is reviewing a permit application for the estimated $137,800 build-out of 6,800 square feet within Ashco’s building at 4853 Big Island Drive.
